What does Emergency Aid of Pennsylvania Foundation Do?
As a nonprofit organization our mission is to the spirit and tradition of its past 100+ years with a renewed awareness of ever-changing conditions and with the flexibility to respond to these new needs. We do so through Grants to non-profit organizations, through Founders Awards which recognize and support outstanding girls during their high school years, and through four-year College Scholarships for select Founders’ girls.
Who is eligible for a EA grant?
Grants are given to women and children within the Southeastern Pennsylvania area to help elevate the quality of family life. Grants range between 2,000-5,000 dollars for more submission guidelines visit the Emergency Aid of Pennsylvania Foundation Submission Guidelines
What is the Founders Program?
The Founders Program recognizes 9th grade girls who demonstrate good leadership and citizenship skills. Candidates can be nominated by school counselors or principals based on their skills and community service activities. These awardees are mentored throughout their high school career. What is EA’s Mentoring Program?
The Emergency Aid works with recipients of our Founders Award to help mentor them throughout their high school years. Touching on topics such as: Preparing for College Interviews, Enhancing Self-Esteem, Coping with Stress during High School, and Developing Decision-Making Skills. The Emergency Aid mentoring that can be impactful for a lifetime.
How can I help?
There are a variety of ways to help. You can mentor a high school student, review Grant applications, interview prospective Scholarship recipients, help with our seminars, community service projects and fundraising events, establish a named Scholarship or Grant in honor of a loved one, or make a donation.
